Delete your account

Your KuyaFix account is yours to close, any time, without asking us for permission or explaining why. Here is exactly how to do it and what happens afterwards.

Option 1 — From inside the app

The fastest way, and the one we recommend.

  1. Open your profile

Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar.

  2. Go to Settings

Tap the gear icon in the top right of the profile screen.

  3. Tap "Delete account"

It's at the bottom of the settings list, under Account.

  4. Confirm

We'll show you what will be removed and ask you to confirm once. There is no undo.

Option 2 — By email

If you've uninstalled the app or can't sign in, email privacy@kuyafix.ph from the email address on your KuyaFix account, with the subject "Account deletion request".

We may ask one or two questions to confirm it's really you — we're not making it difficult, we just don't want to delete someone's account because a stranger asked us to. We'll confirm by email when it's done.

Email a deletion request

What gets deleted

Within 30 days of your request, we permanently remove:

  • your name, email address, mobile number and profile photo
  • your home address and its coordinates
  • your GCash number, if you added one
  • your repairman profile — bio, skills, service radius and experience
  • your job posts and the photos attached to them
  • the offers you sent or received
  • your chat messages
  • your notification and push-token records

Your Google account is not affected — deleting your KuyaFix account does not touch anything in Google. You can separately revoke KuyaFix's access from your Google permissions page.

What we keep, and why

Two things survive deletion, in a form that no longer identifies you.

Ratings and reviews you left about other people stay on their profile, shown as coming from a deleted user. If they vanished, a repairman with ten honest reviews could erase the bad ones by asking customers to close their accounts — so everyone's rating history would become untrustworthy.

We also retain:

  • Records we are legally required to keep, for as long as the obligation lasts.
  • Anything tied to an unresolved dispute or an investigation, until it is closed.
  • Aggregate statistics — counts like "jobs posted this month" — which contain no personal information and cannot be traced back to you.

Backups are overwritten on a rolling cycle, so a copy of deleted data may persist in an encrypted backup for a short period before it is cycled out. It is not restored to the live service.

Before you can delete

You'll need to wrap up anything still open:

  • a job that is booked, started, or waiting for you to confirm
  • a payment you owe a repairman, or one owed to you
  • an open dispute

The app will tell you which of these is blocking you. Finish or cancel it, then try again.

Just want a break?

You don't have to delete anything to stop being contacted. Switching off Repair Repairman Mode removes you from the repairman listings, and turning off notifications in your device settings stops the alerts. Your account and ratings stay intact for whenever you come back.

Other data requests

Deletion isn't your only right. Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 you can also ask for a copy of your data, correct something that's wrong, or object to how we process it — see Your rights in the Privacy Policy. Send any of these to privacy@kuyafix.ph and we'll respond within 15 working days.
